Jessica is a passionate advocate for living a happy, mobile, pain-free life doing the things she enjoys!
From dance as a child to yoga, aqua aerobics, Pilates, and TRX as an adult, Jessica has experienced a multitude of differing methods of movement and uses those to help people lessen their pain, move their bodies, and live the life they desire.
Jessica has been trained by the best of the best in the world of yoga. From David Williams to Leslie Kaminoff to Stephanie Keach, Jessica has trained in YogaFit, Astanga, Yin, as well as Restorative and Heart-Centered yoga. Building on that strong background, she decided to pursue her Pilates education through Stott Pilates and has also trained one-on-one with Katy Roelle of Restoration Pilates in Marietta, Georgia with a focus on the Classical Method.
Jessica is also trained in both the TRX and Redcord Active suspension methods as well as Aqua Aerobics and therapeutic yoga.
Not satisfied with using only movement to address the needs of the active body, Jessica went back to school full time to study Neuromuscular Therapy to add another tool to her toolbox of helping people move better and live well! MT011033

Melissa was drawn to practicing yoga to help rehabilitate her injuries sustained from two childhood motorcycle accidents. When she found that it increased her strength, flexibility, confidence, and self-awareness while decreasing stress and pain, sharing yoga with others became her lifelong dream.
Melissa completed her Yoga Alliance 200-hr training in 2008 at Etowah Valley Yoga. She also holds Yoga Alliance 500-hr and Prenatal certifications as well as a Kids YogaVerse certification. Melissa has spent countless hours studying yoga as therapy, Thai yoga, adaptive yoga, and yoga in special populations.
Melissa created Mindful Intentions Yoga in 2014. At Balanced Movement, Melissa has a weekly class on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm and also offers private and semi-private sessions. Please contact her to register as the class is limited to 6 participants.
